Pom Pom lies in the heart of the Okavango Delta, and has just completed many upgrades. Pom Pom’s concession lies to the west of the Moremi Game Reserve, on the head waters of the Xudum River system. This Botswana camp is built on a large lagoon, filled with hippo, and is a 20 minute flight away from Maun. The scenery is pure Okavango – palm fringed islands, channels and floodplains.
Pom Pom is a camp for the safari traditionalist – 9 extra large Meru style tents raised on wooden platforms, with en-suite facilities and private lounges, ceiling fans, a private verandah and an outdoor shower, all overlooking the lagoon in front of the camp. The dining room, bar and swimming pool areas have been refurbished too, and yet the old-style safari hospitality remains firmly intact. The beauty of Pom Pom Camp is that all activities are offered all year round. These include mokoro outings, game walks, game drives both off road and at night, motor boat cruises and fishing.
